CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Restorative Yoga
Enjoy intelligently sequenced passive yoga stretching for supreme self care. Through the creative use of props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks, poses are practiced in a supported way allowing for a deep and meditative practice. We have some props available on a first come first serve basis, but if you have your own, please bring them! We use a lot in this class!

Gentle Yoga
An easy going gentle Hatha Yoga practice. Perfect for those who are new to yoga, this class is a “lite” version of our Blended Style classes.

Vinyasa
Also referred to as flow yoga, Hatha yoga poses are linked beautifully with the breath for a deep and moving practice that will leave you feeling warm, nourished, and renewed. Followed with a guided relaxation to support and soothe the nervous system. All levels welcome.

Hatha
Hatha is the style of yoga most commonly practiced here in the West. It includes meditation, breath practices, flow sequences, and meditative exploration of the poses, or asanas. In each class you will stretch and strengthen through an intelligently sequenced series of poses and practices followed by a guided relaxation and savasana to soothe and support you, body, mind and spirit. All levels welcome.

Blended Style
With it’s foundation in a Hatha Vinyasa practice, this class draws inspiration from many different styles and sources.

Yin Yoga
The pace of a Yin Yoga practice is slow and meditative. More time is spent in poses allowing for deep stretching and release of tension in the muscles and connective tissue. The approach is quiet, contemplative, insightful. This particular class will have some yang, or active, aspects woven throughout to create a balanced experience. All levels welcome.

Yoga for the People
Our donation based class. An offering intended to make practicing yoga more accessible. Come be part of this wonderful community of practitioners. Gathering every Sunday morning, all levels welcome, pay what you can.

Corporate Yoga Training
Introduce a yoga and mindfulness practice into a workplace setting and reap the benefits of reduced healthcare costs, increased workplace satisfaction, improved productivity and more. A certified yoga and meditation instructor will come to your workplace and lead employees in a well designed yoga practice. In addition, an informative handout will be provided to illustrate how the practice can be divided into shorter segments that can be used anytime during the work day to therapeutically address specific cumulative tensions and postural issues common to sitting and working at a computer.

Private Yoga
We are available to provide a customized practice for you to address your specific needs and goals, or for groups (birthday parties, wedding parties, etc.). Please call or email if you are interested and we will be happy to work with you in creating your practice or event.

Your First Class

Wear comfortable clothing. Traditionally yoga is practiced on an empty stomach, 1-2 hours after a light snack and 3-4 hours after a heavy meal. Advise the teacher if you have any preexisting or current injuries or if you are pregnant. Bring your own yoga mat if you have one. We have studio mats and many props available for you to use as well. If you would like to use a blanket you are welcome to bring one.
